DemocratiseUN organization is an independent, non-partisan, non-profit making organization. Founded in 2008, the mission of this organization is to encourage, generate and sustain discussion of various specific proposals to reform and restructure the United Nations through its website, articles, conferences and seminars. The organization by and large, is aimed to promote discussion on issues including weighted voting and restructuring of the UN’s principal organs including the Security Council and the General Assembly. We welcome trainees and volunteers with fresh ideas to research on mid-term and long-term proposals on the reform of the United Nations organisation.

Founder and coordinator:

Ala Amirshahi was born  in1942 in IRAN and he is now resident permanently in England.
He has studied Economics, Literature and Philosophy both in England and Iran.
